Kannathil Muthamittal (கன்னத்தில் முத்தமிட்டால்) is an award winning Tamil film of the year 2002.

The film was directed by the famous Indian Film Director Mani Rathnam with the grand music of maestro AR Rahman.

The soundtrack of the film features six songs composed by AR Rahman with the lyrics of Vairamuthu.

Kandukondain Kandukondain (கண்டுகொண்டின் கண்டுகொண்டின்) is a tamil film released in 2000 directed by Rajiv Menon. The film was dubbed in telugu as Priyuraalu Pillichindi (ప్రియురాలు పిల్లిచింది)

The seven tracks of AR Rahman were big hits. The film fetched audio rights for the worth Rs 2.2 crores. This record still remains unbeaten as the film audio market has gone into recession since 2000. The lyrics were written by Vairamuthu.

Kadhalan (காதலன்) is the second film of the director Shankar who have a very good team with AR Rahman. Whenever the team joins a huge hit film with hits of all tacks will be created. The film is released in September 14 1994

The soundtrack features nine songs composed by AR Rahman with the lyrics of Vaali and Vairamuthu. The soundtrack cemented the popularity of AR Rahman.

After Roja introduced the composer with a bang, Kadhalan's sales and acclaim led to further success for Rahman. New styles were experiemented like rap on songs like "Pettai rap".

The synthesizer and the keyboard feature. Songs like "Urvasi Urvasi" and "Mukkala Mukkabla" became huge hits and were played everywhere in Tamil Nadu. Even in the north these songs gained popularity because of the dubbing of the movie into Hindi.
