ROJA

Roja (ரோஜா रोजा) is the first film of AR RAHMAN realesed on 1992. This is the important film of tamil cinema music. After this film the face of tamil cinema has changed as the arrival of music wizard AR RAHMAN.

He used many instruments and grand arrangements to generate an epic sound to songs. Songs such as "Rukkumani" had a loud thumping feel and became ingrained in pop culture.

Also many new singers were introduced to tamil music scene.

Time magazine's noted film critic, Richard Corliss stated that the "astonishing debut work parades Rahman's gift for alchemizing outside influences untill they are totally tamil, totally Rahman."

This sound track is among the All Time Top 10 soundtracks listed TIME magazine issued in 2005. Roja was dubbed in Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi and Telugu.
